Lincoln Ave: Plywood No More
More like a construction zone than a Meth Shack. Right?
Things are moving too fast to capture it all. But I want to keep you guys in the loop, so I am gonna run you through the updates really fast. So it'll be a quickie. Hope you don't mind : )
LOOK! There are actually windows
The front of the house. The exterior is waiting for the final coat of stucco. We are having the paint (BM Bruton White) mixed in so it will get painting and stucco all in one!
The Kitchen
You can't imagine the light that poured into this room when all the plywood finally came down. It's a little bit of a tease because under this cardboard is honed marble, gray granite and beautiful refinished, stained hardwood floors (Douglas Fir in here).

Completely by accident, we landed on this (super reasonable) charcoal gray slate for the patios in a Versailles pattern. Its dirty but you get the gist.

And then there was Benderboard
And here is the pathway to the cottage. This will be filled with gray DG (Decomposed Granite). The grass is going to be that groovy No-Mow lawn which is lovely to look and AND drought-tolerant. Win win!
What a difference a day makes. This yard is taking shape!
My Pet Project
So, this lovely dinosaur came in the cottage bathroom and I've been dying to get my hands on it.
And here's what I am hoping it will look like in the near future. Would you look at that? I think I'm in love.
Disaster Of The Week
So, our honed hexagonal tile sheets have been installed. And they don't match. This spells headache. Stay tuned for some sort of solution (which escapes me at this late hour).
