S O D is O M G

S O D   is   O M G

I can't tell you how satisfying it is to watch this SOD process unfold, rather unroll.

Of all the gazillion details, this one is definitely in the 'immediate gratification' category. But there are so many more, all happening at the same time. Come on, check it all out.

Drum roll. The sod is in. I tried to make a stop-motion video of it being installed because I am so giddy about it. But it didn't work. So you'll have to just enjoy this photo.

This is a happy picture because it's the top soil and the sod, just after delivery.

Exterior

Look at the bottom left corner. The first coat of stucco is going on, with paint mixed in! WooHoo.

Posts for the pergola. It looks small but those beams are 10 ft apart. A nice space for an 8 ft outdoor dining table. We are going to do a cantilevered roof on the pergola. More to come.

Kitchen backsplash

Above you'll see the two tiles laid out and ready to be installed. And, here is the backsplash laid in. The marble tile has been grouted with Oyster Gray grout. We'll grout the Heath tile tomorrow with the same grout. It just needs to set overnight.

Stairs

Look at the top of the stairs and you'll see the Top Newels. Lance just customized these to fit into the stair and hardwood floor. From here the ballusters and railing will be installed.
